Tech Life Hybrid collects only the information needed to run the community and understand whether the website is useful.

What the site records

The site records anonymous page-view and interaction events such as opening an original source, the YouTube channel, completing a website diagnostic workflow, or opening the Tech Life Assistant. These records contain the page path, the original referring hostname when the browser supplies one, and a random identifier that lasts only for the current browser tab session so aggregate sessions can be measured. The full referring URL is not stored. A device-local timestamp can indicate that a different tab session returned within seven days; the server receives only the resulting return event, not a persistent visitor identifier. These records do not contain the text you ask the assistant, raw IP addresses, advertising identifiers, or a verified identity. Sessions, completed-workflow events, and return signals are not treated as unique people or proof that a fix worked.

Community email

If you request the early list, your email address, consent time, signup source, and pending status are stored in the private operations database. A request is not counted as an active subscriber and no update is sent until Tech Life Hybrid has a verified email-confirmation, delivery, and unsubscribe path. You can ask to delete the pending request at any time.

Assistant requests

Assistant questions are sent to the site backend to produce an answer. Tech Life Hybrid does not save the question in its community database. The AI provider may process the request under its own service terms.

PC Lab support reports

PC Lab remains local-first. Scans, monitoring, benchmarks, findings, HUD data, and tuning plans do not upload automatically. If you choose support sharing, the app creates a redacted report locally and shows the exact JSON before asking for one-time upload consent. Upload is available only when a separate private support bucket is connected; it never falls back to the public-download bucket. When connected, the service accepts only the reviewed redaction profile, issues a random support ID and private deletion token, and expires the uploaded report after seven days. You can delete it sooner from the PC that holds the receipt.

Optional PC Lab product health

Anonymous product-health sharing is off by default. If you enable it in PC Lab, an event may include only the app version, Windows build family, renderer mode, provider availability category, feature name, and success, failure, or unavailable outcome. It excludes names, account and machine paths, serial numbers, IP and MAC addresses, process and program lists, and raw sensor or frame telemetry. Disabling the switch stops future events. Product-health records are retained for no more than 90 days.

No remote PC control

Tech Life Hybrid cloud services cannot start scans, benchmarks, monitoring, tuning, driver changes, or other system changes on a customer PC. Hardware control remains local and locked unless a future release has a verified provider, a recovery path, and explicit local consent.

Game Truth for Windows

Tech Life Hybrid Game Truth is a local-first Windows PC gaming diagnostic. It reads local system, stability, process, executable-signature, frame-delivery, and Windows performance evidence to explain whether the evidence supports keeping, configuring, repairing, upgrading, or retesting a PC. It does not automatically tune hardware, change game or Windows settings, install drivers, change services, or control the PC remotely.

A user-started capture can create a local receipt containing game and route labels, bounded frame-time samples and summaries, frame-pacing event aggregates, CPU, GPU, memory, storage, and input/output evidence, graphics-test context, user-entered notes, timestamps, hashes, and explicit evidence limitations. A process window title can appear temporarily during selection but is not saved. Full executable paths, hardware serial numbers, raw Windows event messages, and the complete frame-event timeline are not retained in a receipt.

Game Truth 10.9.0 has no account, advertising, analytics, publisher telemetry, cloud synchronization, automatic update client, or automatic upload path. Automatic game detection and guided-field filling use the local Windows process list only; they do not transmit process data or start a capture. Diagnostic evidence and user-authored content remain on the PC unless the user deliberately exports a readable file and chooses how to share it outside Game Truth.

App-managed receipts, stability records, and campaign-vault records use Electron safeStorage and Windows Data Protection API so they are bound to the current Windows user. Small workflow indexes contain bounded receipt identifiers and are not protected by that record layer. User-requested JSON and CSV exports remain readable at the location the user selects.

Local Game Truth records remain until the user deletes them, clears the related workflow, uses Local Data Control, or removes the app data. Game Truth can cancel capture, delete individual records, clear stability evidence, reset experiment membership, and clear all app-managed private records and the two bounded workflow indexes. It does not retain export-path history, search drives for exports, or delete files outside its private record directories.

Game Truth does not collect or transmit account credentials, email addresses, contacts, location, advertising identifiers, payment or health information, camera or microphone data, biometrics, hardware serial numbers, raw Windows event messages, full executable paths, or automatic crash reports. Intel PresentMon 2.4.1 runs locally only after a user starts a bounded capture for a selected process.

Game Truth Companion for Android

Game Truth Companion is a native, read-only Android review surface for receipts deliberately exported from Game Truth for Windows. It does not benchmark the phone or PC, remotely control a PC, tune hardware, make purchases, require an account, display ads, or run analytics.

The companion uses Android's system document picker so the user can select one JSON or text receipt. It requests no broad storage permission and reads no more than 2,000,000 bytes or characters from the selected file. The receipt is parsed in memory for the current on-screen review, is not written to the app's private storage, and is not retained or uploaded by the app. The app does not persist the selected document address.

Current receipts include a SHA-256 digest for the capture object. The companion recomputes that digest and refuses a current receipt whose capture content no longer matches it. Older receipts remain visibly marked as legacy and inspection-only. A matching digest detects content changes; it does not authenticate the source PC, prove causation, or authorize a purchase.

The Android app requests no Internet permission or sensitive device permission and contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, authentication, or cloud-storage SDK. Android backup is disabled. Buttons can open the public Game Truth and privacy pages in the user's chosen browser only after an explicit tap; the companion does not receive the resulting browser activity.

Advertising and affiliate links

The site does not currently load a third-party advertising platform or run behavioral advertising. Before display ads are activated, this notice will identify the provider and explain the cookies, identifiers, data uses, choices, and retention information that apply. Tech Life Hybrid will also enable the consent controls required for the regions it serves. Third-party advertising may involve a provider placing or reading cookies, using web beacons, or processing an IP address or other identifiers; none of that advertising activity is active on this site today.

Any future ad, affiliate relationship, or sponsored placement will be labeled clearly and kept separate from navigation, forms, and editorial conclusions. Read the advertising standard for the placement rules.
